LOS ANGELES - California-based promotion Lights Out Xtreme Fighting (LXF) returns for an action-packed evening headlined by two championship title fights when the cage enters Commerce Casino on Saturday, September 21 for LXF 3. The event will air tape-delayed on regional Fox Sports channels in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Texas, Florida, Arizona and Ohio markets.

In the main event showdown, Alfred Khashakyan (10-4, fighting out of Glendale, California) and A.J. Bryant (11-3, fighting out of Highland, California) will battle for the vacant featherweight championship title. This fight is sure to be a barn burner, as all of Khashakyan’s career wins have come via KO while Bryant has finished 7 of his 11 victories by TKO/KO. Coming off two first-round stoppage victories, Khashakyan will not only make his 145 pound debut but also look to claim the featherweight crown. Bryant, a former CXF champion, is coming off of an impressive second-round TKO win over veteran fighter Jared Papazian during LXF 2.

To set the stage, Blake Troop (8-5, fighting out of Los Angeles, California) will take on Andrii Vasylenko (3-1, fighting out of Kiev, Ukraine). Troop’s confidence is at an all-time high as he rides a four-fight winning streak. Each win, like all of his career victories, has come via first-round finish, and he has mostly left each fight unscathed. Vasylenko trains out of Gokor Chivichyan-owned and operated Hayastan MMA Academy in North Hollywood, California and owns an undefeated amateur record in 5-0.

Local talent will shine at LXF3, as former UFC verteran Albert Morales (8-6-1, fighting out of Reseda, California) and Ron Scolesdang (5-3, fighting out of Westminster, California) will vye for the next shot at the 135-pound belt in a title eliminator. Plus, former WLF World Kickboxing champion and Edmond Tarverdyan protege Melsik Baghdasaryan (3-1, fighting out of Glendale, California) takes on Arturo "Warhorse" Hernandez (4-3-1 NC, fighting out of Fresno, California).

"As a former NFL player who’s been involved in the MMA scene for 15 years, I know a thing or two about hard work and discipline," says Shawne Merriman, co-founder of LXF. "Here at LXF, we’re focused on showcasing some of the most talented fighters on the local circuit and turning them into household names."
Highlights from LXF
Additional bouts include
In a battle between two LXF 1 veterans, Serob Minasyan (11-11) will take on Sergio Quinones (12-21). Quinones recently won the lightweight title at the Hawaii-based promotion Destiny MMA.

Coming off a show-stopping TKO victory in his pro MMA debut, former NFL player Chris McCain (1-0) will step into the cage against a TBD opponent.

Up-and-coming prospect JJ Buckner (4-1) will also step in the cage in a rematch against Jeremy Montijo (2-2) for the inaugural 135-pound LXF D-League Championship Title in a CAMO affair. Buckner bested Montijo in a close and competitive fight in March, and the two will meet again to settle the score - hoping this time, in more convincing fashion.

In a women’s bout, Tiani Valle (3-1), who fought for Bellator last year, will face Brittney Cloudy (0-1), who after a successful track and field career at Saint Louis University that earned her Hall of Fame honors for her five school records, is now trying her hand at MMA.
Tickets for LXF 3 can be purchased starting at $65 online at LightsOutXF.com or at the Commerce Casino box office on Saturday, September 21. VIP Dinner and Bottle Service Tables are also available.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the action begins at 7 p.m. All bouts are subject to change.
